Here come to 2nd day of the convention. Meaning, tomorrow will be the closing. These 3 days, we been awarded by awesome speakers, high class venue, great refreshment, cool prizes & polite staff. I should say Sony had been so committed & generous by giving out the best to us.

I tried α900 today. Beside higher MP, full frame & weight, I don’t find any reason I need to upgrade to this model based on my usage. But for commercial or editor line may find it beneficial at their production level. Guess I can save it for better lens such as 70-200mm since the price is dropped now :)

Will eagerly wait for more surprises from them always. Good job Sony!

Yes! Took half day leave from my boss & advance to the destination. Alpha Convention 2008.

Sony gave a lot of surprises through this convention. The among are:
1) Most outstanding participant (get most stickers from speaker during Q&A session) walk away with α900.
2) ‘double exposure’ new TV reality show. Winner will get α900, Bravia plasma TV, VAIO, etc… i think more than 20K worth prizes.
3) Reduce of lens prices. Cool.

Love at first sight is an emotional condition whereby a person feels romantic attraction for a stranger on the first encounter with the stranger. Wise man also said always be reminded how your love begin with your loved one so that you’ll learn to cherish with each other despite the confliction they had.

I’m in crush with α700 since a year ago when I’m still with Nikon D80. Among the things that attracted me are SuperSteadyShot & high ISO (up to 6400 expandable) performance. Then I start sell off all my Nikon stuffs & dive into the orange ocean. With its abilities, I’ve learn to capture photo without flash at indoor condition so that it can produce more natural/balance exposure between foreground & background. Due to this, I’m use to customize WB (preferable out from camera than post-processing) as well & the color is always pleasing. DSLR is kept improving & releasing year by year. Learn to cherish my love at first sight can save from hurting my pocket and our relationship became more stronger & intimate :P

Just found out some convention updates from George (man behind scene) at Alphanatics.com. They will giving away one limited edition Alpha accessory (only in Malaysia and nowhere else) worth RM900 to all registered attendees! Ah.. I just fall in love again…

First time when I watch David Blaine perform street magic, i’m fascinating. His ability to read people mind & turn it to picture is a kind of rare one. In somehow, it’s quite scary too. After he introduced his unique brand of street magic to the world, there comes more & more magicians with uncommonly personal level like Cyril Takayama. You can find them easily in Youtube.com.

How I wonder to have this kind of ability so that I can ‘borrow’ α700 anytime from Sony Style lol…

I remember I missed out many goodies & activities organized by Sony because I did not check oftenly at their forum. And the previous platform is not quite friendly on post notification. Sony heard our laments, now they had upgraded to phpbb platform which is much better.

The last event that I missed most will be the 9th Aug seminar, which held at Le Meridien Hotel too. I was late to aware of this event. By the time I register, it already gone to waiting list. I’m so surprised to see alphanians had growing so fast. Now I learnt my lesson, I promised I must not miss it again :D

I have 2 αlpha; α300 & α700. Recently I just sold α300 because I plan to upgrade to α700 or maybe α900 (depend on my pocket :P). I just love α700 WB & colors. It helps me alot to cut down my post processing work, which I mostly deal with 600-1000 photos per wedding photography.

So, either I win this Blog & Win grand prize or buy one unit after the convention geee.

Since Edwin asking my help to take his portrait, I suggested why not we go to studio & I can have some shots too. So we went to Dailylifestyles studio at Sri Hartamas.

This is my first time to experience in studio. I felt quite comfortable here with the facilities & privacy provided. Look, even Edwin is counting his money with the help of studio light :D

His friend Rianne also took this opportunity to catch some of her yoga pose for own reference.

One thing I learn about KT’s people are they love to sing. Not the youngster but those eldests. Whenever there is a celebration, karaoke is compulsory. They even have couple team & mimic the whole conversion throughout the song as well. It’s like I’m watching Astro’s song contest.

I made a trip to KT to cover Jay & Siow Wie wedding last Friday. The next day after the wedding, they brought me to tour some of the famous places before I catch the 12:40pm flight to Subang.

First in the morning after sent some of his friends to airport, we set our path to Chinatown to have some breakfast. Actually I’m quite surprising to find there’s Chinatown when I google for some attractions in KT few days ago. It sounds like we’re in foreign country haha..

We came to a shop where Jay has been kept promoting since a day before his wedding that he wants to bring us to taste KT most famous bread. I forgot what they call it. Ya, it’s just simple with kaya + butter & the taste indeed unexpected favourable. I think my appetite was good that morning. I sapu dry noodle, bread & 2 eggs. Please forgive me :P

I think KT has very beautiful beach. One of it is this where only local people will know it. Jay use to climb the tree behind this beach to look for eagle nest. I don’t understand why. Maybe this is how he found Siow Wie? haha..

KT most famous attraction will be the mosque. So far they have 2 unique mosques. One is floating & another one is the latest made by glasses/crystal. Sad I can’t go near to get better angle for the crystal one. Hopefully this is done just fine.

The development for this mosque is very large. On top of that, it has Islamic garden, monuments park, convention hall & etc. Worth to pay a visit if you interested in architecture & design.

Jay told me it has been no rain for the past 2 weeks & the sun is very helping me to take this extremely breath taking outer space skies.

Last but not least, bee at work. Ah.. i tend to love macro photography now. This cropped image. In order to get 1:1 life size, i need macro lens. Anybody want to sponsor me one?
